U13s Information Page
Parents - please come to practice on Monday 12/12 by 6pm. Karen will be there and will explain this page so that everyone is properly informed.
Even though we have 2 teams, we are 1 club.
Mizuno Winterfest tournament only accepted 1 of our U13s team because this tournament is a U14 tournament and only gave us 3/4 entry including 14N and 14W. With that came a difficult decision. I chose to combine both teams and take everyone to this tournament rather than telling either 13N or 13W that they are not in this tournament. I understand that with all 18 girls going to this 3 day tournament and playing time will be limited, however the experience of Club will be the same. We have added more tournaments to the 13s schedule at NO ADDITIONAL cost to parents.
There will be 3 tournaments that the teams will be separate when competing but will all be at the same location. NY Classic, GEVA #1 and GEVA #2.
There will be 2 tournaments that we will ask girls to play on another team if needed- AlphaGamma and Downstate Shootout. Since these tournaments ae on 2 different dates, players can move from one team to another and back.
The Performance hosted tournament both teams will play and girls will be mix together and play.
We will enter the GEVA Regionals as 1 team.
So as you can see, there will be 8 tournaments on the schedule for U13s with all the girls playing in 7 if not all 8 tournaments. This I believe the best option for all to have a rewarding club experience learning for 4 coaches plus Karen and myself.
